  1. Thanks, we don’t get STARZ very often so I will be looking forward to this

  2. Just checked and it’s not showing up

  3. No Starz preview in NJ, as of 9 am Friday 4/17; the channels are still blocked. I’ll keep checking through the weekend….

    1. Never mind, I rebooted my set-top box and the channels are working now!

  4. Verizon FiOS just cut off access 24 hours too soon … AGAIN!

    WTF is wrong with them??

Curious: What is the source of the end date given here? I’d like to cite the source and while this is a great clearinghouse, what’s the source for this preview info?

    1. So, I called, finally got someone competent and finally got resolution on “WTF is wrong with them.”

Reportedly, while Verizon controls the channel content, the On-Demand content/permissions come from the providers (in this case, Starz). “Kelly” @ Verizon reports that providers consistently cut off their On-Demand services at midnight starting the last day of the free preview, while Verizon allows the customer to keep the channel-based content for the remainder of that last day.

So, while that sucks, at least I can expect that behavior for the future and plan accordingly.

  5. So, does that mean if I have Verizon, I can watch Starz today, 4/23 or not? I am having trouble figuring this out.

    1. Hi Patricia, apologies for this late reply, the short answer is yes, the longer answer is; Take a look at the end of WiiGame’s reply above yours: “Verizon allows the customer to keep the channel-based content for the remainder of that last day.”.
