There will be a free preview of HBO and Cinemax from January 17th to the 20th on AT&T U-Verse, DirecTV, Verizon FIOS, Comcast, RCN, Frontier FIOS, and Suddenlink. There may be more providers showing it as well, so please if a comment below if yours is and you don’t see it in the list.
HBO’s new series, The Outsider, just premiered last weekend and now would be a good time to catch-up. I’ve watched the first two episodes and highly recommend it!

Have Comcast and the hbo free preview does not appear in voice command

Why not on Dish network?
Dish Network removed HBO and Cinemax last year due to a contract impasse. The premium movie packages Dish offers is Starz, Showtime, and Epix.
How did no one know this in advance?
Unfortunately some providers like DirecTV notify their subscribers on the day that free preview starts. Either by on-screen message or an ad banner while scrolling through channel, which is how I found out.
I’ve had U-verse since last May, and till this latest one, they’ve always let us know on the billing statement immediately prior to the freeview, which would’ve been late December for me. Not a peep this time, but I did see a commercial for it on tv after the freeview had already started. Oh well.
Wish they would have had a better Saturday night movie lol Godzilla! But did get to see John Wick Chapter 3 and catch up on a couple shows and also those new shows Sunday Night so it was a nice weekend!

I seriously hope it does not end exactly at midnight tonight on Sunday/Monday.
I want to see “Pokemon Detective Pikachu” on HBO Family …it starts at 11 PM until 12:50 AM ..i just pray it doesnt get cut off right in the middle of it at midnight.
Does anyone know the exact cutoff time ??
Heads up for Optimum/Altice subscribers – I just found out by accident that we’re getting these channels. I was just scrolling through the listings and boom… I see HBO and Cinemax.
As usual, nothing on Dish Network, time to cut the cord!
Why would the free movie channels on dish this month not show up? I believe it’s channels 384 thru 386. Also channel 130 wont show any shows. All the other available channels will work. Does anyone else have this problem?
