Free Preview Ends: November 29, 2021 (Monday)
There will be a free preview of HBO and Cinemax on Dish Network over the holiday, November 23rd to the 29th. This free preview is in addition to the monthly free preview, a free preview of SundanceTV, and a free preview of Starz.
On the 26th, you can catch the season 2 premiere of How To with John Wilson.
It’s possible that other providers will be showing this free preview. We’ll know more as we get closer.
Channel Lineup:
307-309: Cinemax
310-315: HBO
I contacted AT&T U-Verse customer support on their online chat. I got some incredibly flaky service from them — demanding my PIN, but failing to provide what should be a public answer. Finally, a “supervisor” said:
Ansar: From November 24-28 free preview available.
I asked Ansar repeatedly for the URL of the free preview announcement. He gave me the URL for the channel lineup, and he/she/they sprinted out of the chat session before I could verify that he had failed to provide the link. Terrible customer service. I have no idea if you should update the announcement; I really don’t trust what they said in the chat.

HBO & Cinemax channels 307 through 315 are not showing on my Dish receiver’s guide, even when I have ALL CHANNELS selected. Do I need the Hopper to watch the free preview?

As of 12:48am ET on 11/23 I have all the HBO channels free on Verizon FiOS in NJ.
None of the Cinemax channels are free as of right now, so not sure if they will be or not…
HBO preview started today on Verizon FIOS (both On Demand and live). No Cinemax yet.
EPB should be included right now. It’s Wednesday and it’s not yet available right now. It needs to be available. It just needs to right now.
Still only have free HBO and not Cinemax on Verizon FiOS. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a free preview of HBO that did not also include Cinemax… Also not sure when this preview ends (if it is Monday like this Dish Network preview).
Perhaps a separate entry should be made here for this or at least add the “Verizon FIOS” tag to this one so people are made aware and don’t think this is just for Dish.
