Update 5/9/14 – Looks like Dish won’t be turning on this free preview until today at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Good news! The free preview of Showtime that I reported DirecTV getting last month is also going to be shown on AT&T, Cable One, Century Link, Comcast, Cox, Dish, Mediacom, RCN, and Verizon.
Check the listing here to see exactly what Showtime programming you’ll be getting. Some providers are only showing Showtime while others are including On Demand and Showtime Anytime.
This free preview of Showtime is to promote the series premiere of Penny Dreadful. Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook, and The Impossible are a few of the movies playing.

Here it is the 9th of May and there’s no free Showtime on my Dish Network.

I have Dish and I’m not getting it yet either. Odd, they are usually on time.
Called dish. They r aware of problem & trying to get it available for preview.

Yes admin, they usually r on time.. this why I thought it strange that it wasn’t coming thru.. and ur welcome :-)
If you go on the dish Facebook page, they are saying that it will either be turned on or by 5 pm est.
This is especially strange since the hbo preview usually starts a touch early and this one is only going to be three days long (shorter now, I guess).
dish now says the free preview will begin @ 5 Eastern today
That’s disappointing. They usually turn it on the night before it’s scheduled to start.
I have Comcast Garden State in N.J. Our Showtime free preview is OnDemand only — not on the Showtime channels.
I called earlier about this and they said it would be working by 1pm. I can view the Showtime channels now but when I go on the guide it won’t let me record anything past 4pm today? ?
I just called Comcast and was told by someone at Comcast that they do not have any Showtime Free Weekend today.
Wow not fair that brighthouse isn’t offering this…may consider other cable options
