There’s a free preview of HBO and possibly Cinemax (can anyone confirm this?) starting Friday, April 15 and ending on Monday, April 18.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking about getting HBO, and now I can make a better decision.
The HBO previews typically include the Cinemax channels.

My Inside DirecTV newsletter I recieved in the mail yesterday says there’s a Cinemax free preview as well as HBO.
The email I received from DirecTV only indicates a free preview of HBO, and does not mention Cinemax.
This is excellent, it will include the first episode of A Game of Thrones. Which means I’ll probably end up ordering HBO halfway through the first episode, if it’s up to HBO’s usual standards.
My DirecTV email also only mentioned HBO. However, the free preview for HBO has included Cinemax in the past as Glen said.
Thanks for adding the “Add to Google Calendar” button! I’ve tried to extol to other sites how they need one, but few people bother.

Could you please check the programming for The Blind Side? It is being shown during the free preview weekend. When I tried to set a time to record, the showings during the free weekend are not highlighted. The times highlighted to record are dated April 23 and 24 which would not be during the free preview.
I seem to be finding more programming errors when trying to set up shows to record.
I’m pleased to see that it also includes the MovieMax channels (515-517). It was in my DirecTV mail yesterday.
what time does it start exactly for est?
Needless to say that after I made a note on paper, I missed Friday and now most of Saturday. olor me busy with life.

When it ends. Does it shutt off at midnight?
In the past usally the preview shuts of at 5 or 6 am on tuesday morning.
I can’t recall … could be 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. Central in past experience. Wish I knew for sure too!
This was great! I got to see many movies I have been waiting to see for many months! And rewatch good movies I’ve seen before. Cant wait till the next free weekend! And hopefully I find out about it before saturday night, lol!
