There’s a big free preview of HBO and Cinemax coming this weekend!
So far we know that Verizon FIOS, AT&T U-verse and Cox Communications are going to be having this HBO and Cinemax free preview. If you know of another provider participating, please leave a comment below to let others know.
The free preview starts on Friday, June 25 and ends on Monday, June 28.
There’s also a free preview of HBO only on Dish Network this coming weekend.

on the 25th to 28th of this month.
It sure would be nice if DirecTV would let their customers know in advancea bout these free previews. There has been more than one occasion where I found out after the fact and missed out. Thanks for the info, Roger!
Really Roger? that is wonderful news I agree Double D a bit more of a heads up would be nice but I’ll take it looks like some pretty good stuff on this weekend

I checked those channels for DirecTV this morning and nothing was showing up as being free. If somebody sees something different, let me know.

I just checked my FIOS TV, HBO and Cinemax is working and free this weekend.
Damn, I guess I’m really not a Vz customer anymore :( (Frontier as of July 1 officially :p — I guess they use a different calendar than the rest of us)
I have dish, but no cinemax preview. Does it start at specific time or should it be on now?

On the Cox system in my area, there is just an HBO free preview, no Cinemax.
On Directv, getting Showtime & TMC but no HBO or Cinemax.
I’m not getting any of those, but I am getting one encore channel. (directv)
We had a big storm roll through our area on Friday night, and we completely lost our DirecTV connection. Even if we had the free preview, it wouldn’t have mattered!
We have Encore and it is still on right now. Probably only until tonight though. NO HBO or anything else. I am in Illinois on Directv.
At 10 a.m. this morning, the Cox system where I live already re-encrypted the HBO channels, so the free preview already ended. I thought that the cable or satellite systems were supposed to run programming on the affected free preview channel(s) until the overnight hours of the end date — at least that is what usually happened when they ran free previews of HBO when I was younger.
You’re right, tmanokc. Usually the free preview runs until at least midnight of the last day of the promo period. Someone got a little bit trigger happy with the off switch!
