Comcast/Xfinity is having a “summer of free” where you can enjoy free previews all summer long. There will be select programming available from the following channels.
- History Vault & Stingray Karaoke (June 28 – July 4)
- EPIX (July 5-11)
- Showtime (July 26 – August 1)
- Acorn TV (August 2-8)
- Best of Kids & Family Week (August 9-15)
- AMC+ (August 16-22)
Start times may vary and there may be some other free previews along the way.

The free previews ends August 22, 2022 (Monday), you have it listed as ending on August 1, 2022 (Monday).
I just noticed that July 12-18 (one of the missing weeks in the original list) is Gaiam, FitFusion, and Gaia. (The first two are exercise videos; the second one is a mixture of conspiracy/mysticism and exercise videos.)
So there’s probably going to be something going on in the other missing weeks too – July 19-25 and August 9-15 – that we don’t know yet.
Looks like they’re not doing anything for July 19-25.
August 9-15 is “Best of Kids & Family Week”.

Does anyone know how this works? Is it just free on the cable box, do you sign into the services using comcast credentials (app, website), can you use an app on a tablet or streaming device (and if so, do you use your xfinity credentials)?
The free content is all available through the Xfinity streaming website/app or in the cable box on-demand interface. You don’t sign into any other app/website, even for content coming from a service that also has their own app/website.
