Liked the Starz/Encore free preview and I’m wondering if there is a special price for subscribing/continuing these channels with my regular subscription. Will you let me know ?

When you download on demand movie for free preview weekends you only get it for 30days. If you want a movie on free weekends you have to record it from the actual channel to keep it permanently on your dvr

Were is the free on demand movies, showtime, and HBO for this week, or am I reading it wrong. I see someone else has the same question. Explain please.

Be very very careful. They have a bug where your downloaded and queued On Demand can just disappear if there’s signal loss. Wouldn’t be THAT big a deal, but it appears as though it’s the On Demand server that’s going down…several times a day!

First I lost all 35 of my previous On Demand downloads, including a few I can’t get back because they’re from previous free previews. But THEN, after I had re-queued all of them, and half a dozen or so had downloaded, they all got wiped again. And again. And again.

This all started a little after noon yesterday, and except for naps and sleeping, I’ve been sitting here ’til now (6:30pm) desperately trying to make the deadline (because first I thought Starz was ending Sunday night–yesterday–then tonight. Thanks to this post, I know the pressure is off now and I’ve got a few more days to try to queue these one at a time. But I really don’t have faith that their suggestion to only queue one at a time is going to work.

I have Dish and subscribe to Encore. I’m getting Starz channels free, but no others.
I am seeing the Free Samplers in the movie On Demand sections, but they are mainly just several episodes of shows on those stations. I think Starz was the only one with movies, but you can just DVR those from getting the channel free. So unless you want to watch random episodes of Girls, for some God forsaken reason, the Free Samplers are kinda lackluster.
