AT&T U-verse is having a free preview of their U450 package over Thanksgiving weekend, November 22-25.
Included in this free preview will be HD channels, sports channels, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, and On Demand channels. Sounds like a great free preview!

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I just caught a commercial for the Starz/Encore free preview during those dates, but didn’t realize it was a full U450 with HD channels. Great news!
When they had the similar promotion last Thanksgiving I easily filled up my DVR. I’d better make sure I’ve got some free space on it next week.

How do I access the free preview on ATT u-verse? I looked at the channels, and they say “not subscribed”. How is it free if I have to be subscribed?

Yeah, this was nice…went to watch a show Saturday & we were able to get half way through it before On Demand Cinemax crapped out. Nice Job ATT Uverse

It’s a shame that some of you had trouble getting the preview started. Hopefully the tip that Karla and David and Ann (all above) shared worked to get your boxes rebooted.
I enjoy this site for sharing that kind of information, but there is also the forums.att site for concerns that the people posting here don’t have an answer for.
Luckily I didn’t have the problem, but it might be because I rebooted my box the evening before the preview started. It was just a coincidence that I did – I do that periodically because it always shows several hours more free space on my DVR after the reboot, and I knew I’d want as much space available as possible for recording.
My only very minor issue – a couple of HD channels never came on. The Sony and MGM channels are the two that I can think of that remained blocked during the entire event.
Overall I’m very happy with the long free preview weekend. I haven’t seen anything from U-verse yet about the Christmas free preview that jwmartin mentions above, but I’ll look forward to that one if it happens too.
