Free Preview ended at 7:25AM 6/15 in Richmond IN.

From reading the comments here, it sounds like I was lucky. No calls needed. Not limited to specific movies. On Demand also available. I recorded 22 movies during the weekend.

I went on the chat line with Comcast here in McHenry, Illinois. This is what she told me:
After checking beyond the resources that we have, I found that the Comcast digital customers in the Twin Cities, Independence and Manitowoc will have access to HBO and Cinemax Channel, Ron.
She said we did not have access here in McHenry.

Free preview is working fine. I have a cable box and I tune it into channels in the 560 region and both HBO and Max channels are active. [I am on comcast in suburb of sacramento, ca]

I’m in South Jersey and its not working for me either. I just did the Live chat with a Comcast Rep. and she said this preview was cancelled. Oh well.

I called and they told me that it had been canceled but they hadn’t been given a reason. When I mentioned that it was funny that my neighbor who has Verizon FIOS had it she put me on hold. When she came back I was given free HBO and Cinemax for 3 months for “the inconvenience”. Nice.

I just did the live chat with Comcast about this and they gave me a complimentary weekend of Starz in lieu of this.

The man on the other end had no idea what I was talking about when I referenced the HBO & Cinemax free preview weekend, even though I referenced this site and all of the commercials I had seen for it.

Have a box and no preview. I think it is unnecessarily limited to certain markets. I don’t buy the bullshit regarding call volumes or digital transition. I also don’t believe it was limited by HBO.
